cgi-mailer is a simple system enabling users to have HTML form input formatted in a user-defined way and sent to an email address, without needing a new CGI program for each new HTML form or any user access to the cgi program. cgi-mailer does not need to reside on the same server as the HTML forms that use it, so you only need to install it once for your entire organisation.
cgi-mailer has featured in Perl Success Stories.

- Use strict and warnings, like it should have been years ago!
- Updated to handle any file suffix for the html form file. That suggestion from Sean Smith at dur dot ac dot uk.
- Removed the ‘die’ from log_access to give a meaningful error message rather than just an error 500.
This must be some sort of record for a gap between versions…
I’ve also moved this whole site into Wordpress. Wordpress is the beez kneez.
